EU - Enterprise Architect – Brussels
Seeking Enterprise Architect in Brussels. Responsibilities include creating business architecture models, integrating project strategies, and evaluating systems for vulnerabilities
Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:
• Create business architecture models that reflect the organization’s strategies and goals.
• Drafting or reviewing project related documentation and alignment with decided enterprise architecture approach.
• Integrate the project and program strategies and ensure alignment with business strategies and drivers, and management priorities.
• Evaluate systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities and support in preparing relevant mitigations measures or documentation of security elements.
• Conduct research to find ways to improve operations.
• Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance.
• Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed terms of reference, including in perspective of identifying ways to reduce costs in IT and business implementation and management.
• Create and implement a business vision and multi-year plan support management in operationalisation of it.
• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.
• Help with follow up on the deployment of the components, evolution of the systems as well as their configuration management.
• Documentation of the technical implementations and the composites.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
As stated in the Article 2.6.3.1. of DIGIT-TM II Service requirements, a minimum educational qualification for lot 3 is: Level of education corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a master degree of 5 years.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles to ensure that IT systems are aligned with ongoing business strategies and standards
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture notations such as BPMN
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture tools such as ARIS
• In depth knowledge of information systems.
• Experience with complex application environments.
• Experience defining and implementing strategies under a CIO or equivalent
• Ability to combine many different skills and experiences to address and solve business, information, and technology related opportunities and problems
• Extensive experience with enterprise architecture best practices and goals
• Excellent leadership and conciliation skills
• Communications skills, both verbal (e.g.: presentations, seminars, etc.), and written (e.g.: reports, articles, etc.).
• Group session facilitation.
• Promotion skills (“selling” the results of architectural approaches through presentations).
Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team;
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;
• Excellent Team Player;
• Ability to understand, speak and write English C1, French C1+ and other EU languages will be an advantage;
• High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained in RTD.H.DEP.IT contain personal and confidential data.
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:
• Excellent knowledge COSO, COBIT, Sarbanes-Oxley section 404, & ITIL frameworks
• Expertise with IT controls including risk analyses, risk monitoring and risk response
