Key Responsibilities

Primary Tasks:

• Design and implement the architecture of information systems.

• Conduct reviews of existing system architectures and recommend improvements.

• Develop component architectures and reusable building blocks.

• Analyze and integrate different information systems.

• Perform data analysis and data modeling to support technical decisions.

• Coordinate the implementation of technical architectures.

• Serve as the technical interface between project leaders and developers.

• Produce comprehensive software architecture documents.

• Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings, and user sessions.

• Provide support for testing, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting.

Additional Tasks:

• Conduct software code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.

Required Qualifications 

Education:
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant education (Master's degree or equivalent) after secondary school.

Experience:
• At least 6 years of IT professional experience, covering at least 50% of the core qualification domains listed below.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the architecture and design of information systems.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the development of information systems.
• Minimum 2 years of experience using Unified Modelling Language (UML) or Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.

Core Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
• Expertise in Service Bus Architecture.
• Proficiency with relational databases and relational database management systems (DBMS).

• Strong background in web technologies.
• Experience with Linux, UNIX, or AIX enterprise environments.
• In-depth knowledge of:
o Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
o Applications design and modeling tools.
o Object-Oriented Programming languages.
o Business process analysis.
• Familiarity with interoperability technologies (e.g., web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented buses). 

• Strong technical writing and redaction skills.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations and apply high-quality standards in architecture.
• Capacity to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Open Group TOGAF (level 1 and 2) certification and knowledge of Enterprise Architecture principles are advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Java/Javascript software development, including code quality and review techniques.

Security Requirements
• Possession of a Personnel Security Clearance (SECRET EU/EU SECRET) is mandatory.
• In case clearance is not available, a fresh criminal record certificate (not older than 30 days) and proof of security clearance initiation will be required before the start date.
• A declaration of confidentiality and conflict of interest will also be signed prior to onboarding.
