Duties & Role:

• Define the overall architectural vision and roadmap for data ingestion, processing, analytics, and platform components, ensuring alignment with the digital strategy.
• Prepare architectural design documents, technical blueprints, data models, and integration patterns to support DataLab infrastructure.
• Manage architectural consistency and interoperability between data sources, analytics components, and supporting IT systems.
• Maintain reference architecture models, guidelines, and governance frameworks to support data operations and platform evolution.
• Review solution designs to ensure compliance with architectural standards, data governance, and security requirements.
• Report architecture progress, risks, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Evaluate technology choices, trade-offs, and best practices for data pipelines, analytics, and platform performance.
• Interact with business analysts, users, project leaders, and developers to align business needs and technical architecture.

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture, analytics platforms, data integration, and governance models, with experience designing complex solutions in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Ability to design and optimise architectural solutions efficiently, applying technical expertise across sectors (public, media, banking, insurance).
• Skilled in translating complex architecture concepts into clear, actionable communication for senior stakeholders.
• Applies high standards in architecture design, documentation, data governance, and platform scalability, ensuring compliance with internal policies and GDPR.
• Adapts architectures to fast-changing technologies in data processing and analytics.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences, promoting collaboration.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills in large, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Writes clear technical documents, including architecture blueprints, data models, and integration patterns.
• Participates in technical meetings, providing expert-level input to align teams.

Mandatory Experience and Education:

• Proven experience with TOGAF, COBIT, or Zachman frameworks, designing and implementing enterprise architecture.
• Development of business architecture roadmaps and multi-year plans aligned with strategic goals.
• Experience working under CIO-level leadership, supporting enterprise architecture decisions.
• Conducts architecture assessments and system evaluations to identify gaps and optimise solutions.
• Integrates business, information, and technology architectures for strategic alignment.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, presenting architecture visions and leading discussions.
• Strong modelling and abstraction skills using BPMN, ArchiMate, or similar.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture tools like ARIS.
• TOGAF, ArchiMate, and AWS Solutions Architect certifications.
• English (C1/C2).
• Master’s degree or 5 years of higher education.
• Near-site location: within 2 hours by land to Brussels.
