Education: Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master or equivalent) after the secondary school.
Minimum experience: Minimum 9 years of IT professional experience, of which 3 years of experience with SOA Platform Architecture and Development.
DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Solution Architect will lead the design and implementation of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions. This role involves defining architectural standards, designing integration layers, and ensuring alignment between technical requirements and business needs. The architect will collaborate closely with technical and functional teams, contribute to system development and enhancement, and oversee best practices for service design, performance, and governance. The position requires strong expertise in SOA, middleware technologies, enterprise integration patterns, and hands-on experience designing complex, secure, and scalable architectures in Linux/UNIX environments
Tasks:
Design the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) tier.
Participate in design sessions with project staff as required.
Build business processes to support orchestration of web services.
Participate in team reviews of design artifacts and code, make changes as required, and recommend alternative solutions where appropriate.
Design and participate (contribute to the drafting of use cases) in the new development of systems, enhancement of existing systems, or 3rd party products.
Work with technical and functional teams to ensure effective delivery of systems.
Use software development methodologies and standards as defined by organization to effectively design systems.
Work with technical teams within group as well as outside group to ensure effective delivery.
Follow established processes for configuration and release management to ensure that all project artifacts are managed, integrated, and versioned according to standards.
Qualifications, knowledge and skills:
Certified Architect (Open Group or equivalent) is strongly recommended.
Very good knowledge and experience in grasping the technical requirements and designing (in collaboration with the stakeholders) a suitable architectural solution.
Strong problem solving skills and knowledge.
Experience with Linux, UNIX or AIX Enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architectures, with proven experience in designing SOA tiers.
Strong background in systems architecture middleware technologies.
Strong skills in Services Design Best Practices, Service Performance Monitoring, Service Performance Tuning, Service Interface Specifications.
Object Oriented skills using open architecture standards, as well as best practices, design principles and techniques with regard to: BPEL, UML, WSDL, JDBC, SQL, XML/XSL, SOAP, Webservices.
Significant knowledge and experience in designing and developing Enterprise Service Bus/SOA/Integration Tier Architecture (BPEL/Business Process Orchestration, Webservices, J2EE).
Knowledge of SOA Design patterns for building middleware systems ground up using Message Routing, Content Enrichment, Message Filtering, Message Transformation, Guaranteed delivery, Message sequencing, Batch message processing, error handling and reconciliation mechanisms.
Architecture knowledge about Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring and KPI for end-to-end process execution.
Expertise in implementing enterprise architecture standards and methods.
Understanding of network and system architecture.
Adiditional knowledge and skill:
Experience and knowledge with data management / data analytics solutions.
Security Requirements:
No Security Clearance: A fresh criminal record certificate (not older than 30 days from the signature of the Specific Contract) of the chosen candidate should be provided, together with a copy of their national ID document / Passport, prior to starting the work.
Declaration of confidentiality and protection of the information system and of non-conflict of interest document will be signed by the selected person at latest at the starting date (preferably to be submitted together with the criminal record and the copy of national ID document).
