DevSecOps Expert, Brussels – European Commission
Profile: Expert in DevSecOps.
Minimum experience: 14 years in IT.
Studies required: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field.

DESCRIPTION:
The DevSecOps Expert will support the European Commission in Brussels by designing and managing secure deployment pipelines and release processes. The role involves working with container, serverless, and orchestration tools such as Docker, Ansible, Terraform, buildpacks, and Kubernetes, as well as cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and OVH. The expert will apply secure testing practices (OWASP, HP Fortify), use monitoring solutions like Dynatrace and Prometheus, and contribute development skills in Java and Angular. Operating within an agile environment, the expert ensures high-quality standards, delivers clear technical and business presentations, and communicates effectively with diverse audiences. The position requires 14+ years of IT experience and at least 3 years hands‑on with DevOps tooling.
Knowledge and skills:
· Very Good knowledge in establishing and managing deployment pipeline and release management (ie: Bamboo, Puppet)
· Good knowledge with DevOps container or serverless /orchestration tools (ie: Docker, Ansible, Terrafom, buildpacks, Kubernetes, etc.)
· Good knowledge in JAVA, Angular.
· Good knowledge in black box and white box testing (OWASP, HP Fortify, etc.)
· Good knowledge with Monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus etc.)
· Good knowledge in the Cloud (Aws, Azure, Google, OVH etc.)
· Good knowledge in conducting DevSecOps in an agile work environment
· Ability to give business and technical presentations
· Ability to apply high quality standards
· Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
Specific expertise:
· At least 3 years of experience with DevOps container or serverless /orchestration tools (ie: Docker, Ansible, Terrafom, buildpacks, Kubernetes, etc.)
Certification:
One of the following certificates & standards are optional for the performance of tasks:
· Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP) certification, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or equivalent to be approved by Commission.
Language:
· English (C1) MANDATORY.
