Profile: Technical Lead.
Minimum experience: 10+ years of working experience in similar roles/positions.
Studies required: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering (or equivalent applied experience).
Duration: Initial contract till end of 2026, with the possibility of extensions.
Language: English (C1) MANDATORY.
Location: Luxembourg (near-site). 3 days onsite, 2 days remote working.
DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Technical Lead to support the EIB in designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using IBM ACE, IBM MQ, ITX, and WSO2 Micro‑Integrator. The role covers requirement analysis, message‑flow development, troubleshooting, platform monitoring, and lifecycle operations (including maintenance, support, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting across ACE, MQ, and WSO2). Responsibilities also include documenting integration solutions, coordinating issues with middleware vendors, and automating processes with Ansible and Azure DevOps. Expertise in ESB platforms, SWIFT message processing, data transformation, scripting, and authentication protocols is required. English C1 is mandatory.
Tasks:
Analyze requirements, systems and integration interfaces, including the domain of Swift message processing.
Design, development, testing and deployment of message flows deployed on IBM AppConnect Enterprise (ACE).
Troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and resolution of production issues with ESB services.
Document integration solution design, configuration and deployment procedures, creating user guides and technical documentation for developers and platform engineers.
Provide Support and maintenance of IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Transformation Extender (ITX), IBM MQ Series and WSO2 Micro-integrator deployed on Linux OS and IBM MQ.
Monitor the health, performance, and availability of ESB infrastructure and services, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Raise and coordinate resolution of issues with middleware provider support teams.
Perform middleware patching and upgrades.
Participate to the failover and disaster recovery tests.
Automation of certain manual process using Ansible and Azure DevOps pipelines.
Mandatory Knowledge in:
Knowledge in IBM AppConnect Enterprise (ACE).
Knowledge in IBM Transformation Extender (ITX).
IBM MQ.
WSO2 Micro-Integrator.
SWIFT message processing and formats (MT and MX formats).
Data transformation using built-in transformation capabilities on ESB platforms, XSLT or eSQL.
Message queuing systems, protocols, and standards (e.g., MQ, SFTP, SOAP, REST).
Programming languages like Java, Python or C#.
Authentication and authorization protocols.
SQL.
Troubleshooting and investigation tools: scripting tools (Bash, Phyton), web services testing tools (SOAP UI, Postman).
DevOps tools such as: Git, Jira, Azure DevOps, log aggregators like Splunk or ELK.
Mandatory Competence in:
Analyze requirements, systems and interfaces to understand integration needs.
Develop integration interfaces using IBM ACE and IBM MQ, including interface bespoke customizations.
Using message queuing systems, protocols, and standards (e.g., MQ, SFTP, SOAP, REST).
Handling SWIFT messages within application flows.
Using best practices to design new message flows.
Enforcing authentication and authorization in message flows using OAUTH, WS Security or certificate-based authentication protocols.
Administering/troubleshooting IBM ACE and IBM MQ Series.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), web services testing tools (SOAP UI, Postman) for automation and monitoring tasks and log monitoring: events, errors via Splunk, ELK or equivalent tool.
