Job role: Senior Business Analyst

Rate: 435-450€/day

DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute detailed business analysis activities across the full project lifecycle.

• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions with business representatives and subject-matter experts.

• Analyse existing processes, business rules, user needs, and system behaviours to produce clear functional and non-functional specifications.

• Translate business needs into structured requirements, user stories, process models, and decision flows.

• Ensure constant alignment between business objectives and technical implementation throughout development and testing.

• Support architecture and development teams by clarifying requirements and validating feasibility.

• Prepare high-quality documentation, reports, presentations, and decision-support material.

• Participate in solution design reviews, gap analysis, risk assessments, and impact analysis.

• Support test teams during UAT by defining test scenarios and validating results against requirements.

• Communicate progress, risks, and open issues clearly to project managers and stakeholders.

• Act as a trusted advisor to the business, proactively identifying improvements, optimisations, or innovation opportunities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong capability in preparing, structuring and writing clear, concise, and complete business analysis documentation.

• Ability to communicate fluently with both business and technical audiences, acting as a bridge between domains.

• Strong capacity to deliver high-quality, high-level presentations adapted to managerial and expert-level audiences.

• Outstanding critical thinking skills; able to apply logic and reasoning to analyse complex situations, evaluate alternatives, and identify strengths and weaknesses of different solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to apply and enforce high quality standards across deliverables.

• Ability to participate effectively in multilingual meetings; excellent verbal and written communication in multicultural environments.

Specific Expertise

• Minimum 10 years of experience in functional analysis, with proven end-to-end involvement in requirements gathering, validation, and solution alignment.

• Experience in the labour market domain and/or verifiable credentials is considered a strong asset.

• Proven use of a structured methodology for drafting, reviewing, and maintaining business requirements (e.g., BPMN, UML, user stories, acceptance criteria, process modelling).

• Extensive expertise ensuring alignment between business requirements and final project deliverables, including traceability, validation, and impact assessment.

• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) adapted to both business stakeholders and IT development teams.

• Experience working in complex environments involving multiple stakeholders, regulatory constraints, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
