Business analyst, Luxembourg (near-site) – EIB

Profile: Business Analyst.

Minimum experience: 10 years of experience in business analysis in financial organisations.

Studies required: Relevant Degree in IT or a related field in Business analysis.

Language: English (C1) MANDATORY.

Location: Luxembourg (near-site).

DESCRIPTION:

The Business Analyst will work near-site in Luxembourg, supporting financial systems and business processes within a complex stakeholder environment. The role focuses on collecting and analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and acting as a key interface between business users, solution architects, data governance teams, service providers, and developers. Responsibilities include impact analysis, solution design support, testing coordination, user support and training, and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives and the Software Development Life Cycle framework, particularly within Private Equity and eFront-related systems.

Tasks:

• Collect and prioritize business requirements together with the key-users and the business owners.

• Business Analysis of change requests which will encompass following tasks:

o Analyse new business requirements in close collaboration with the business stakeholders and service provider,

o Assess impact and identify gaps, propose solutions aligned with business requirements, overall information architecture and operating context,

o Produce project specifications.

• Be the interface between the business experts, GDO stakeholders (solution architects, data governance office, …) and also the service provider, responsible for implementation.

• Act as support level 2 to end-users, provide training on eFront platform and update user documentation.

• Testing:

o Prepare test scenarios and test cases,

o Prepare test data,

o Execute test cases, evaluate results and raise suitable remediations actions if necessary.

• Assisting developers on the business and functional aspects of the projects, especially on migrations and data cleaning exercises.

• Contribute to projects in which GIS/BTS/CLD/eFPS/- is involved.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team procedures and activities and to the Software Development Life Cycle framework deployment. Especially, the candidate should be able to provide constructive feedback on:

o How activities are handled within the team, showing a proactive approach in identifying and addressing areas for improvement,

o Interactions with internal stakeholders and providers, highlighting when the team is potentially operating outside of its remit, according to market best practices and communicating on appropriate roles and responsibilities

Mandatory Requirements:

• Relevant Degree in IT or a related field in Business analysis.

• High level of maturity and extensive experience in business analysis and project management, with a minimum 10 years of experience in business analysis in financial organisations.

• Experience with business requirements translation into specifications.

• Testing of IT applications in the financial domain.

• In-depth knowledge of the Private Equity (PE) business and eFront software.

• Knowledge of EIF business is a strong plus.

• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio.

• English writing ski ls (C1 European Level).

• BA certification considered a plus.

• Capability of providing strategic insights and driving improvements independently.

• Capability to take the lead on implementing changes and ensuring successful outcomes.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey feedback and changes to stakeholders.
