Job role: Project Manager (with architecture knowledge).
Minimum experience: 16 years in IT.

DESCRIPTION:
The Project Manager Will be responsible for managing complex IT projects and information system implementations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles, business objectives, and governance requirements. The role combines strong project management skills with enterprise architecture expertise to coordinate teams, oversee deliverables, manage risks, and support architecture governance, including collaboration with Enterprise Architects on business, solution, data, and technical architectures, within a large multicultural international environment
Tasks:
· Manage the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and using the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
· Give proposals for project strategies at the architecture / technical level, planning, definition of tasks and deliverables, review of technical project deliverables, quality control, risk analysis and management, status reports, problem reporting and management systems, follow up and organization.
· Integrate the project and program strategies and ensure alignment with business strategies and drivers, and management priorities.
· Coordinate the architecture community for technical analysis and architecture process implementation in sync with the Architecture Board decisions and organization strategies.
· Facilitate architecture meetings (such as architecture board meetings, architecture team/project meetings, architecture communities) with focus on consensus building, decision clarity, stakeholder management & influence.
· Coaching and mentoring, promoting the architecture value rather than control.
· Identify ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership to optimize and rationalize the IT portfolio.
· Guide the team in charge of project activities and review their deliverables.
· Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to create business, technical, solution and data architecture models that reflect the organization’s strategies and goals.
· Provide solution architecture guidance.
Mandatory Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field.
· 16+ years of total Experience in IT.
· At least 7 years of specific expertise in project management standards and methodologies (Project Scheduling, Strategic Planning, Financial Modelling, Budgeting, Forecasting, Performance Tracking).
· At least 5 years of specific expertise in Agile methodology, Scrum Management, Lean agile.
· At least 3 years of specific expertise in Enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman…, and actual experience developing and building models based on such frameworks. This should include experience in business – IT alignment from the architecture perspective (business, data, application, technology, security).
· At least 3 years of specific expertise in enterprise architecture and business process modelling and associated tools such as ArchiMate, UML, BPMN, etc.
· At least 3 years of specific expertise in enterprise architecture tools such as ARIS, Enterprise Architect…
· At least 3 years of experience with Confluence and Jira.
· Good governance skills, and strong leadership/coordination abilities.
· Good communications skills, both verbal (e.g.: presentations, seminars, etc.), and written (e.g.: reports, articles, etc.).
· Ability to combine many different skills and experiences to address and solve business, information, and technology related opportunities and problems.
· Promotion skills (“selling” the results of architectural approaches through presentations.
· Ability to adapt to unplanned changes or decisions.
· Planning, coordination, reporting, follow-up.
· Knowledge of Cloud Architecture (AWS, MS Azure…).
· Modelling and graphical representations and abstractions.
· Risk assessment.
· Due to the particular nature of a large international organization such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills.
· Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions.
· Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
· Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects.
· Excellent Team Player.
· Ability to understand, speak and write English B2 or French B2 will be an advantage.
Mandatory Certifications (at least one of the following):
Project Management Professional (PMP).
PRINCE2 Foundation/PRINCE2 Practitioner.
PM2.
Language:
