Cloud Engineer - IaaS (Warsaw, long-term mission) – Frontex

Profile: Cloud Engineer.

Place of performance: Frontex Headquarters in Warsaw. 70% onsite + 30% remote.

Duration of the mission: 48 months.

Security Clearance: EU Restricted.

Minimum level of education: Level 6.

Minimum English language skills: B2.

Minimum IT relevant experience: 5 years (2 years in relevant cloud engineering roles).

Award Criteria: 35% Price / 65% Quality.

Minimum required scoring for interview: 70%.

Rate: 300 €/day (NWH); 390€/day (EWH); 6€/hour (On-Call Duties).

• NWH: 230days x4 years

• EWH: 12days x4 years

• OnC: 2150h x 4 years

Required cerificates: Mid-level AWS/Azure/Google Cloud certification required.

Knowledge and skills:

· Technical knowledge of one or more enterprise Cloud technology services: Azure/AWS/Google Cloud (Identity, Networking, Compute, Storage, Web, Mobile, Containers, Databases, Analytics, AI & Machine learning).

· Experience in building a range of Cloud services including compute, storage, network.

· Excellent scripting skills and programming experience in the following languages: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Go, Bash, Windows command prompt and object orientated programming languages.

· Demonstrable experience of Linux administration and scripting (preferably Red Hat).

· Basic knowledge in administering Microsoft systems.

· Deep knowledge of DevOps principles and Infrastructure-as-a-Service concepts and techniques.

· Knowledge of Cloud security and compliance (e.g., Cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools).

· Experience in collaborating with multiple support groups.

· Experience with ticketing systems and ITIL based change management, configuration management and release management processes.

Specific technical requirements:

· Nutanix Certified Professional - Multicloud Infrastructure certificate (NCP-MCI).

· Vmware VCP-DCV v7.x or newer certificate.

Typical tasks and responsibilities:

· Administering and monitoring of enterprise Cloud environments (including subscriptions, identities, resource management, automation of processes and tasks).

· Monitoring and reporting on resource utilization and consumption related to the Cloud.

· Preparing, updating and maintaining reports and workflows.

· Preparing, updating and maintaining policies, guidelines and SOPs.

· Provisioning and de-provisioning of development environments and DevOps projects.

· Providing 2nd line support to Frontex application development teams in regards of Cloud Services and coordinating with 3rd line of support.

· Participation in coordination and project meetings.

· Other specific duties as assigned by supervisor.

Travel: By default, travelling in the interest of service is not foreseen for this position/profile.

· Nevertheless, Frontex may exceptionally request to carry out some services at other locations than Frontex Headquarters or other Contracting Authority’s premises.
