Cloud Engineer (IaaS) (Warsaw, 50% remote) – Frontex

Profile: Cloud Engineer (IaaS) (Cloud services, Cloud environments, Monitoring, Reporting).

Place of performance: On-site service provision - Frontex Headquarters – 50% on-site + 50% remote.

Duration of the mission: 48 months.

Security Clearance: Is required (security screening procedure must be initiated within first 45 days of assignment) - CONFIDENTIEL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL.

Minimum level of education: Level 6.

Minimum English language skills: B2.

Minimum IT relevant experience: 5 years (2 years in relevant roles).

Award Criteria: 40% Price / 60% Quality.

Minimum required scoring for interview: 60%.

Travel expenses: Not foreseen.

Rate: Flexible. The rate offered depends on the candidate’s level, in accordance with the European public grading system. Further details are available upon discussion.

· NWH: 230days x4 years.

· EWH: 12days x4 years

Required technical certificates:

At least 1 certification is required among:

· mid-level AWS/Azure/Google Cloud certification.

· or an equivalent alternative certification recognized internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority)

Knowledge and Skills

· Technical knowledge of one or more enterprise Cloud technology services: Azure/AWS/Google Cloud (Identity, Networking, Compute, Storage, Web, Mobile, Containers, Databases, Analytics, AI & Machine learning).

· Experience in building a range of Cloud services including compute, storage, network.

· Excellent scripting skills and programming experience in the following languages: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Go, Bash, Windows command prompt and object orientated programming languages.

· Demonstrable experience of Linux administration and scripting (preferably Red Hat)

· Basic knowledge in administering Microsoft systems.

· Deep knowledge of DevOps principles and Infrastructure-as-a-Service concepts and techniques.

· Knowledge of Cloud security and compliance (e.g., Cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools).

· Experience in collaborating with multiple support groups.

· Experience with ticketing systems and ITIL based change management, configuration management and release management processes.

· Good organizational and prioritising skills .

· A proactive attitude, team-work spirit, being self-motivated with a strong user orientation.

· Good communication skills.

· Able to cope with fast changing technologies.

Specific requirements:

· Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert Az-400.

· Hashicorp Certified: Terraform Associate.

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate Az-500.

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Solution Architect Expert Az-305.

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Az-104.

· Excellent knowledge of Cloud infrastrcutre and Platform Engineering.

· Excelent knowledge of Operations and Platform Maintenance.

· Excellent knowledge of Process Automation.

Tasks and Responsibilities

· Administering and monitoring of enterprise Cloud environments (including subscriptions, identities, resource management, automation of processes and tasks).

· Monitoring and reporting on resource utilization and consumption related to the Cloud.

· Preparing, updating and maintaining reports and workflows.

· Preparing, updating and maintaining policies, guidelines and SOPs.

· Provisioning and de-provisioning of development environments and DevOps projects.

· Providing 2nd line support to Frontex application development teams in regards of Cloud Services and coordinating with 3rd line of support.

· Participation in coordination and project meetings.
