Enterprise Architect, Europe (Remote) – International Organisation

Job role: Enterprise Architect.

Minimum experience: 3 years in applying Amazon and/or Azure Well-Architected Frameworks.

Studies required: Master’s Degree in IT or a related field (5 years).

Language: English (C1) MANDATORY.

Location: Remote (within the EU). Onsite presence may be requested with a notice period of 7 days.

DESCRIPTION:

The team is looking for an Enterprise Architect who can assist in identifying the right solution for each problem and oversee the implementation of said solution.

Description of the tasks:

• Identify the right AI solution and infrastructure for each customer problem.

• Evaluate the feasibility of solutions in the realm of AI.

• Assist in the leading of a local centre of excellence around AI and cloud.

• Oversee the implementation of select AI projects.

· Propose integration patterns with other solutions of the ecosystem (custom developments or low code developments in platforms like ServiceNow, Microsoft Fabric and Mendix).

• Identify ways to reduce costs for cloud infrastructure.

• Evaluate cloud systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities.

• Create designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture, when necessary for AI solutions.

· Document and present lessons learned from different cloud services and architectural patterns to technical teams in the Directorate.

Knowledge and skills:

· Good knowledge of AI.

· Very good knowledge of Infrastructure and Platform as a Service (IaaS and PaaS) on Azure and AWS.

· Capacity to lead a technical team.

· Knowledge of organising a centre of excellence or similar organisation fostering growth in technical knowledge.

· Good knowledge of native security tooling protecting public cloud environments. Knowledge of Azure Policy is required.

· Good knowledge of integration patterns with PaaS or SaaS solutions.

· Knowledge of non-relational databases.

· Ability to give technical presentations.

· Ability to apply high quality standards.

· Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in cloud.

· Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences, in English.

· Analysis and problem-solving skills.

· Capability to write clear and structured technical documents, in English.

· Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills.

· Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.

· Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects.

· High degree of discretion and integrity.

Specific expertise:

· 3 years in applying Amazon and/or Azure Well-Architected Frameworks.

Certifications & standards:

• At least 1 Certification of Expert level on Azure or Professional level on AWS.

• An additional certification meeting all 3 criteria:

  • of Associate level or above.

  • on Azure or AWS.

  • on AI or Machine Learning.
