Senior ServiceNow Developer (Warsaw, 80% remote) – Frontex
Profile: Senior ServiceNow Developer.
Place of performance: Frontex Headquarters in Warsaw. 20% onsite + 80% remote. Candidates must be based within two hours of Warsaw.
Duration of the mission: 50 months.
Minimum level of education: Level 4.
Minimum English language skills (CEFR): B2. Minimum IT relevant professional experience: 5 years, and 2 years in relevant IT roles.
Rate: 360€-370€/day (NWH); 8,70€/hour OnCall Duties
• Expected NWH: 220 days x 3 years + 260 days (4th year).
• Expected OnC: 1060h x 3 years + 1250h (4th year).
Security Clearance: EU CONFIDENTIAL (security screening procedure must be initiated within the first 45 days of assignment).
Travel: Not foreseen.
Award Criteria: 50% Price / 50% Quality.
Required certificates:
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification or equivalent.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification or equivalent.
Knowledge and skills
• Excellent practical hands-on experience in configuring, developing and maintaining ServiceNow platform (experience with on-prem will be advantageous).
• Experience in creating customized solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience in administration and maintenance of ServiceNow in a DevOps role.
• Experience in managing the backend of ServiceNow platform in on-prem setup will be advantageous.
• Experience in creating SOPs and other technical documentation.
• Well understanding of complex information systems and their interoperability.
• Knowledge of IT security standards. Specific expertise
• Practical hands-on experience designing ServiceNow platform solutions will be advantageous.
• Excellent practical hands-on experience with requirements gathering, analysis and project management.
• Excellent practical knowledge of ServiceNow products portfolio.
• Excellent practical knowledge of Service Management.
• Knowledge of key technologies for ServiceNow integration (Web Services, SSO, LDAP, REST, etc.).
Typical tasks and responsibilities
ServiceNow platform development:
• Implementing new configurations and customizations of the ServiceNow platform.
• Analysing and advising on requests for implementation of new functionalities.
• Testing and validating proposed changes.
• Writing and implementing code within the ServiceNow platform.
• Running development projects in cooperation with ServiceNow Architect and Administrator.
• Performing application and code reviews to ensure system integrity.
• Maintaining up-to-date solution documentation (technical documentation, SOPs, user manuals, knowledge base articles, etc.).
ServiceNow platform maintenance:
• Managing and maintaining the ServiceNow instance, including all underlying components (binaries, configuration, key stores, Tomcat, Java, local backups, performance tuning, etc.), ensuring functionality and security compliance.
• Maintaining ServiceNow up to date, including upgrades and application of patches.
• Ensuring proper integration with Frontex systems.
• Managing and maintaining MariaDB database files and services used by ServiceNow.
• Providing daily support for the ServiceNow platform and implementing standard changes.
• Maintaining current configurations and customizations.
• Analysing and resolving application-related incidents and performing bug fixes.
• Maintaining up-to-date solution documentation.
ServiceNow platform improvements:
• Providing recommendations regarding business requirements and contributing to technical designs.
• Supporting ServiceNow Architect and Administrator in solution architecture design and administration.
• Supporting ServiceNow project planning.
• Supporting other teams in risk management, disaster recovery, and security management.
• Maintaining up-to-date solution documentation including technical documentation, SOPs, user manuals, and knowledge base articles.
• Other specific duties as assigned by the team leader.
